Neighbors, I am extremely proud to be able to serve you through the office of the Justice of the Peace. My passion to serve has been demonstrated since 1994, when I became certified as a Mediator for the Dispute Resolution Center for two years, in Houston. My passion for service continued as I served as a mediator in Judge Al Green's court for two years, and the United States Postal Service for a year. In this race (to represent the Democratic Party), it comes down to a politician who has been in office for 16 years, with little results to show for his service to the community, and a candidate who is not a politician, but has a record of service to the community through our schools, community events, children festivals, free counseling and art projects donated to the county, and school district.
I earnestly seek your vote to allow me to represent you on another level, where I can help change the face of service to this Precinct and our community. I want to stem the tide of our children who display bad conduct being treated like they were criminals through this court. I want to bring civility to this court by treating citizens who come before it with respect and dignity. Precinct 2, YOU CAN COUNT ON ME TO BE THERE FOR YOU!
VOTE EARLY FROM FEBRUARY 16-26, 2010. YOUR VOTE FOR Former Texas Art COMMISSIONER TONY SHERMAN IS VITALLY IMPORTANT TO AFFECT THE CHANGES NECESSARY IN PRECINCT 2, FORT BEND COUNTY. I AM PASSIONATELY COMMITTED TO BRINGING PROGRAMS TO THIS PRECINCT THAT WILL HELP KEEP OUR KIDS OUT OF THE JUSTICE SYSTEM. YOU CAN COUNT ON ME!!!
My wife Teri and I have raised our sons (Dana, Jarrett "Tony" and Trever) in Missouri City for the past 25 years. We plan to reside here for the rest of our lives and therefore concerned about the quality of life for our neighbors as well. I want to give the children in all our neighborhoods the same opportunity our son's have had at successful lives and careers. You can count on me, to be there for you!
COUNT ON ME TO BE THE JUSTICE WHO IS SENSITIVE TO YOUR NEEDS; WHO WILL TREAT YOU WITH RESPECT; AND WHO HAS PLANS TO BRING QUALITY OF LIFE PROGRAMS TO OUR PRECINCT, FOR ALL OUR CITIZENS.
These are the kids in my Behavioral Stimulus Program who earned the right to go to our weekend camp in Matagorda County, TX. Future campers will have a quarterly camping experience in Huntsville, Texas, thanks to the Prairieview A &M University, County Extension program. Kids in this program earn the right (by good behavior) to attend a weekend camp during the summer, where we help them to change their projection in life.
Shown below is one of my works as a sculptor. This work was commissioned by the city of Missouri City, TX in 1998. The Protectors depict the spirit of the police and fire departments as they protect our citizens. This is a bronz work weighing over 900 pounds and permanently mounted in front of the Police and Fire headquarters in Missouri City.

These kids have attended the BSP program camp in Matagorda County. We emphasize discipline, moral character, team building and financial education. In this photo, we were assisted by Dale Duransberg, Nate & Liz Lyles and Willie Rollins.
